Publication Profile Georgia Backroads is Georgia’s premier history, nature, and travel magazine. Subscribers are located throughout the United States (and even abroad) with the majority in Georgia and the surrounding states of Florida, Alabama, Tennessee and the Carolinas.

Georgia Backroads is circulated to Barnes & Noble, Waldenbooks, CVS, many grocery stores, and newsstands by major distributors such as International Periodical Distributors (IPD), Anderson News, and The News Group.

The magazine is a feature-oriented publication. Because we carry very few advertisements, each one stands out and will be noticed by readers. Often, we are able to give advertisements page exclusivity (most ads are the only ones on a particular page).

2. General Information
Contact us for current rate information. Frequency discounts are determined by the number of insertions in a given issue and/or the number of issues used in a series.

Advertising copy and contracts are subject to the approval of the publisher. Advertising does not necessarily reflect the opinion of the publisher or Georgia Backroads.

Closing dates for ad space reservations are: January 1 (Spring issue), April 1 (Summer), July 1 (Autumn), and October 1 (Winter). Cancellations of advertising space reservations in a particular issue cannot be accepted after an issue’s closing date.

Typesetting and design costs associated with the production of camera-ready mechanicals for an advertisement are not included in the costs for ads outlined on this rate sheet. If you want us to prepare your ad, typesetting and design costs are billed at the rate of $150 per hour.

3. General Requirements
Submit electronic files in QuarkXpress for Mac. All fonts and supporting graphics must be included. Also acceptable are EPS (.eps) and PDF files. PDFs should be optimized at 2400 dpi, and all fonts must be embedded.
